The first step in jumping rope (after buying a rope) is to size it.
Adjusting the length is incredibly important.
It could be the difference between a great jump rope session and a nightmarish workout.
Here’s how to adjust your jump rope to the correct length:
Two different ways:
- Stand on the rope with one foot.
- Pull the handles up until they are 1-2 inches below your armpit.
- Stand on the rope with two feet.
- Pull the handles up until they are 6 inches below the collarbone.
